Blair fell in love with yoga in 2009 when she started taking Hatha Yoga classes in college. She received her BFA in photography from Metropolitan State University of Denver in the spring of 2013. She took her 200hr Vinyasa teacher training with Kindness Yoga in the summer of 2014. In September 2014, she started her 300hr training with Kindness Yoga and completed it in October 2015. After her 300hr training Blair furthered her studies in meditation, Yin, Nidra, and Restorative yoga. Her classes are a blend of her knowledge in Yin, Vinyasa, and Restorative Yoga. In May of 2020, she began her 800hr yoga therapy program with Inner Peace Yoga Therapy, continuing her education in yoga and adding the element of therapy to her toolbelt. She completed her yoga therapy program in December 2022 with over 1,300hr of yoga based education to share with her students and clients.
Blair specializes in yoga therapy for chronic pain and functional yoga. Her average client is someone living with chronic pain, working on their functional mobility and or strength, or someone living with neurological disorders. Clients could be living with and/or working on one or all of these. One of the things Blair loves about being a yoga therapist is that it is a complementary therapy. This means that clients are never asked to stop seeing other therapists like PT’s, psycho therapists, acupuncturists, or their doctors and specialists. Blair works alongside them to help create the best support team possible for her clients, customizing each session or class to how her clients feel that day and the goals they are working towards.
You can find Blair working with private clients and groups virtually and in person in Denver during the late spring to early fall. Once in Tucson, Blair continues to meet with clients virtually. Most of Blair’s clients meet with her over zoom allowing her to have the ability to work with clients throughout the US and Canada.
Traveling is a big part of Blair’s life; she loves to teach when she travels and has been known to plan a trip around a good yoga workshop or training. Yoga, art, gardening, hiking, and cooking are her biggest passions and she feels very grateful to have them all in her life!
